Terms of Service

1. About Jump Knock

Jump Knock is a sports coaching marketplace operated by Jump Knock Ltd. The platform enables athletes and sports enthusiasts ("customers") to discover verified sports professionals and submit booking requests for coaching services, including paid bookings processed via Stripe.

2. Accounts

To use certain features you must create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information at registration. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or our community standards.

3. Booking requests and payments

Submitting a booking request - whether paid or unpaid - is a request to a professional and does not constitute a confirmed booking. A booking is only confirmed when the professional accepts it through their dashboard.

For paid booking requests, your payment is taken at the time of the request but does not guarantee acceptance. If the professional declines a paid booking, Jump Knock will arrange a refund of the amount you paid through the platform. During our beta period, refunds are processed manually and typically take 5-10 business days.

For services with a deposit option, the deposit amount is the only amount collected through Jump Knock. The remaining balance is agreed directly between you and the professional after acceptance.

Jump Knock is not a party to any arrangement between a customer and a professional beyond facilitating the initial booking and payment. The commercial relationship - including delivery of the service - is between the two parties.

4. Platform fee

Jump Knock charges a platform fee on amounts processed through the platform. This fee is deducted from the payment at the time of processing and is not charged to the customer separately. The fee percentage may change; the rate applicable at the time of each transaction applies. The platform fee is not refunded when a refund is issued unless otherwise stated.

5. Customer conduct

When using Jump Knock, you agree not to:

  • Submit false or misleading booking requests
  • Harass, abuse or threaten professionals or other users
  • Attempt to circumvent the platform to avoid future commission obligations
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

6. Content standards

All content you submit - including booking messages and account information - must be truthful and must not be offensive, harmful or infringing. We reserve the right to remove any content that breaches these standards.

7. Moderation

Professional profiles and service listings are subject to approval before they appear publicly. Jump Knock reserves the right to reject, suspend or remove any profile or listing at its discretion.

8. Limitation of liability

Jump Knock provides the platform on an "as is" basis during the beta period. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of £50 or the amounts paid by you to Jump Knock in the preceding 12 months.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Where changes are material, we will notify registered users by email. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
